Last Blood

"Retribution is a gift…
In the final showdown between the forces of dark and light, Mal and Chrysabelle face not only Tatiana, but the ancient evil that now controls her: the Castus Sanguis. Chrysabelle gathers her friends and family around her, forming a plan to bring an end to the chaos surrounding them. But the Castus is the most powerful being they’ve ever come up against. Defeating such evil will require a great sacrifice from someone on the side of light.
One of them will change sides. One of them will die. No one will survive unscathed. Can Chrysabelle save those she cares about or will that love get her killed? What price is she willing to pay to draw last blood?"

Well where do I begin with this book? It is so full of action and packed to the brim with romance and ANSWERS! Yes this book in its finality has actually given us the readers answers. Answers to what happens to our favorites characters, where they are headed and what happens to the not-so-favorite (bad guys) characters. We are also left with a sense that there will be more to come for those characters but they will get through it no matter what. This books takes us on the final showdown between Chrysabelle and Tatianna, while regaining what she had with Mal. And well... that is all I am willing to say about the storyline of this book, since I don't like to give out spoilers. :) If you have been following this series, this is a must read! If you haven't started reading them by now..well what are you waiting for?
I also received a signed book plate from Kristen Painter!

Out For Blood

"After nearly dying at the hands of the Aurelian, Chrysabelle finds new determination to move beyond life as a comarré. That is until the Kubai Mata bring a new task to her doorstep: rescue the child Tatiana has kidnapped, or Mal becomes enemy number one."

House of Comarre Series book 5 Out For Blood , Is one that I truly loved and hated at the same time. It is the blossoming of a beautiful and strange relationship between Chrysabelle and Mal, but also the undoing of that bond. This book also focuses on the new beginnings for vampires, a born vampire - half human half vampire all while Chrysabelle is attempting to find her brother and figure out just what the Ring Of Sorrows is actually doing to Chrysabelle. This (just like the other books, but maybe a bit more so) is a can't put down must finish this book... It feels like the beginning of the end and it will be one heck of an ending!!
