Well where do I begin with this book? It is so full of action and packed to the brim with romance and ANSWERS! Yes this book in its finality has actually given us the readers answers. Answers to what happens to our favorites characters, where they are headed and what happens to the not-so-favorite (bad guys) characters. We are also left with a sense that there will be more to come for those characters but they will get through it no matter what. This books takes us on the final showdown between Chrysabelle and Tatianna, while regaining what she had with Mal. And well... that is all I am willing to say about the storyline of this book, since I don't like to give out spoilers. :) If you have been following this series, this is a must read! If you haven't started reading them by now..well what are you waiting for?

House of Comarre Series book 5 Out For Blood , Is one that I truly loved and hated at the same time. It is the blossoming of a beautiful and strange relationship between Chrysabelle and Mal, but also the undoing of that bond. This book also focuses on the new beginnings for vampires, a born vampire - half human half vampire all while Chrysabelle is attempting to find her brother and figure out just what the Ring Of Sorrows is actually doing to Chrysabelle. This (just like the other books, but maybe a bit more so) is a can't put down must finish this book... It feels like the beginning of the end and it will be one heck of an ending!!

I love how these books offer so many different aspects from fantasy to romance to drama and the paranormal it's like a wonderful mixture of things you wouldn't normally put together!

Creek is a former convict released early with help from the Kubai Mata, therefore becoming a member to protect Chrysabelle and humankind. Primarily human, just enhanced.

Preacher is a unique Vampire that can day walk, and lives in a church.

Aliza is a very powerful witch that is the one responsible for the curse placed on Doc.

Evie is the daughter of Aliza, she was turned into stone through use of alchemy by Dominic, also a powerful witch.

 The House of Comarre series is a 5 book collection by Kristen Painter. The series begins with Blood Rights, which introduces you to a whole new world. Kristen's world is set with a different look and approach to the romantic vampire lore - using a mixture of new and old rules. There are many different characters, and different kinds of characters, with the lines of good and evil often blurred. This is not a typical love story, or a typical vampire tale, it is something new, fresh and dare I say: ORIGINAL!

Here are some of the main characters to give you a feel for the book, given in my point of view:

Chrysabelle is a comarre; born into the life of servitude for the noble vampires. She is the heroine of this story, feminine, yet strong and takes charge of any situation.

Maris is a former comarre and also Chrysabelle's aunt, strong and willing to do anything for her family.

Mal is a cursed vampire, fighting with not one but two curses and his demon that he can barely keep at bay.

Fi is a ghost that is attached and haunts Mal due to his curse.

Dominic is a vampire that has all the connections, think more vampire mafia boss.

Doc is a cursed varcolai, with an overwhelming urge to protect Fi at all costs.

Here is some book definitions of terms you will find commonly throughout the book:


Anathema: is a noble vampire that has been cast out of noble society for some reason.

Aurelian: Historian to the comarre's.

Castus Sanguis: The fallen angels from which the other races descend.

Comarre/Comar: A human hybrid species especially bred to serve the blood needs of the noble vampire race.

Dominus: the ruling head of the noble vampire family.

Elder: the second in command to the Dominus.

Fae: a race of other natural beings descended from fallen angels and nature.

Fringe Vampires: A race of lesser vampires descended from the cursed Judas Iscariot.

Kine: archaic vampire term for humans.

Libertas: the ritual in which a comarre can fight for their independence. Ends in death for either the comarre or the patron.

Navitas: the ritual in which a vampire can be re-sired by another, to change family lines or turn a fringe noble.

Noble Vampires: a powerful race of vampires descended from fallen angels.

Nothos: Hellhounds.

Patronus/Patron: A noble vampire who purchases a comarre's blood rights.

Remnant: a hybrid of different species of fae and/or varcolai.

Sacre: The ceremonial sword of the comarre.

Signum: The inlaid gold tattoos or marks put into the comarre skin to purify their blood.

Vampling: A newly turned or young vampire.

Varcolai: a race of shifters descended from fallen angels and animals.

Intro

I have always been an avid reader, from a young age I started to absolutely love reading. So I have decided to write reviews and make suggestions about books on here. Share some of my passions, and hopefully give a reader a chance to explore some new authors. I am a big fan of the supernatural realms, to romance. As a kid I thoroughly enjoyed reading the R.L. Stine fear street collection - which I just passed down to my kids TODAY! *proud mommy note my oldest son is an avid reader and I am verrrrry excited! So now since I have a passion for books every year my husband will introduce me to a new author during the holidays.
